WELCOME TO LAW OFFICE OF DAVID H. ABRAMS
The Law Office of David H. Abrams is dedicated to creating opportunities for economic and social justice for individuals and families. We are legal scholars who are dedicated to protecting the economic rights and well-being of our clients while promoting marketplace integrity. We believe that the practice of law is an artistic endeavor that requires creative thought and innovation. We believe that all people are entitled to access to our state and federal civil justice system.
The Law Office of David H. Abrams provides the following services to our clients based upon their needs.
We represent individuals and families in disputes arising out of transactions which were entered into for personal, family, or household purposes. This can include legal issues such as: Defense of Debt Collection lawsuits; Consumer Bankruptcy; Mortgage Foreclosure Defense; Automobile Sales or Financing Fraud; Debt Collection Abuse (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act Claims); Predatory Lending; Enforcement of Tenant Rights and other claims arising under the State and Federal Consumer Protection laws.
The loss of income associated with a disabling injury or accident can be devastating to the economic life of an individual or family. Social Security disability income provides an important safety net for individuals who are unable to work due to disability. Prior to becoming an attorney I worked in Tallahassee as a Registered Nurse with patients who were engaged in rehabilitation from injury or disease. My healthcare experience is very helpful in understanding your medical background and how that interacts with the laws governing disability claims.
Chapter 7 and Chapter 13
Our nation’s bankruptcy laws exist to provide debtors with an economic fresh start while protecting the rights of creditors. For consumers facing debt problems I offer free consultations in my Tallahassee office. I am very experienced with both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. I carefully examine each client’s economic situation and determine with the client what course of action is most likely to lead to the outcome desired by the client.
I take special pride in my ability to serve the members of the Tallahassee and surrounding communities throughout their lifespan. My interest in the legal rights of our senior citizens began in law school when I completed the highly ranked Elder Law Clinic at CUNY Law School. I am experienced with matters such as simple wills and trusts, guardianship, Powers of Attorney, and Healthcare directives.
